Final 4 ready for Tri-Counties semis

March 16, 2017

We are down to four in our quest to crown the first-ever Tr-Counties Champion!

This Saturday at the Regal Rumble marks the semi-finals of our tournament to decide the very first holder of the new championship belt. The winners of the semis are set to meet in Westhill on April 8th to decide the new title-holder to represent the great areas that WrestleZone represent.

In our first semi-final, the "King of Catch" Aspen Faith faces upto Bingo Ballance looking to earn gold for the very first time. The Aberdeen technician has overcame Blue Thunder and Johnny Lions to make it this far, and faces the "Zenith of Zero G" for only the second time in his career.

The Flying Irishman is a former holder of the Undisputed Championship and overcame tough bouts against Sterling Oil members Damien and Alan Sterling to earn this semi berth. Will it be Ballance who maintains his record here and earns a spot in the final?

Our second semi-final will also see two fan favourites clash for the first time in singles competition. Since returning to action after an extended injury layoff, Zach Dynamite has been in great form and he overcame Chris Archer and Shawn Johnson to nail a final four spot.

But in his way stands Bryan Tucker, who scored the most unlikely of victories against Andy Wild and will now want to maintain his record as only one of two grapplers to hold a Regal Rumble win, the Undisputed Championship and Tag Team titles. Adding the Tri-Counties honour would complete the accolades for Tucker but first he must get past Dynamite this Saturday.

The special rules mean the bouts have 10-minute time limits, meaning there can be no hanging around for the final four. By the end of the Regal Rumble, we will move once step closer to crowning the first Tri-Counties Champion and no doubt, anyone of our final four could end-up as the first title-holder.
