Update: Aberdeen Anarchy 2017 taking shape

April 26, 2017

We are just six weeks away from the biggest night of the year, Aberdeen Anarchy 2017, which marks a return to the historic Beach Ballroom in Aberdeen for a huge night of action!

The event taking place on Saturday 17th June will see championship matches, special guests and grudges settled underneath the bright lights at the art-deco venue that has become Aberdeen's home!

The annual supershow is one of the hottest events of the summer and this year, three huge guests are set to join us for the action. WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi returns to Scotland for the event and will be in action at the Beach Ballroom. Who will end up getting the Stink Face when the former member of Too Cool gets ready to dance this June?

We are also excited to welcome former six-time WWE Women's Champion Melina to these shores - but one person is looking to ruin the dream. The "Queen of Catch" Sammii Jayne has made a challenge to Melina for a singles match at the Beach Ballroom, with Sammii having seen off both Debbie Sharp and Viper in recent contests. We think Melina will accept this bout and is looking forward to proving her worth when she makes her WrestleZone debut.

Another match that is awaiting confirmation is the challenge laid down by Lou King Sharp to the former WWE Crusierweight Champion Hornswoggle. We expect this challenge to be accepted and fans can look forward to the tomfoolery that will come with this bout!

In more serious matters, the Undisputed Championship will be on the line as Scotty Swift defends the gold against the 2017 Regal Rumble winner Shawn Johnson. The Sterling Oil golden boy is making a run to be the man in WrestleZone and on June 17th, he gets the chance to mark a career high. For the third year running, can the "Red-Haired Warrior" emerge victorious or will this be a step too far for the "King Joey" of the WrestleZone?

The rest of the card is taking shape but we expect to see some movement on the Tri-Counties Championship, while Mr. P has not had his troubles to seek with "Unstoppable" Andy Wild.

As always an unforgettable night of action is in store for wrestling fans and for the past four years, this event has sold out.

Make sure you don't miss out by getting your tickets NOW. They are available from Aberdeen Box Office at /www.aberdeenperformingarts.com

General admission tickets cost £18.70 inc. bf, with all seats unreserved. Entry to the event for General Admission ticket-holders is 6pm. The wrestlers will be ready to rumble from 7pm in another great night of grappling in the Granite City!
